  Andrew is an academic with a management consultancy background (McKinsey & Co). He is director of a research centre that focuses on multi-business companies, corporate-level strategy, organisation structure and the role of the corporate centre.
 

RESEARCH:
Andrew has led research projects on how corporate centres add value, whether corporate mission statements are useful, what is corporate-level strategy, how companies get into new businesses, how business units can be encouraged to work together productively, how managers should set about designing or redesigning their organisations, and how companies successfully develop into new businesses.

CONSULTING:
Much of Andrew's consulting work is on issues relating to corporate-level strategy, organisation structure and the redesign of corporate centres. However he also has broad experience with general strategy and organisation issues as well as acquisitions and business development.

TEACHING:
Andrew co-directs programmes for senior managers on corporate-level strategy, strategic decision making and acquisitions. He also teaches on MBA programmes and contributes to other general management programmes.
